I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
